25-31 May 2013 : didgeridoo meditation retreat

The Didgeridoo is a long wooden wind instrument of the Australian aborigines. It is made out of branches of the eucalyptus tree and produces low frequency earth sounds.

Sound is a great tool to put our mind at rest whether it be drumming, chanting, reciting mantras etc...

Listening to the didgeridoo has a calming and relaxing effect on body and mind. In the aboriginal culture didgeridoo was played near sick people to help them heal and there is sufficient evidence that the low vibrations of the didgeridoo have a soothing and healing influence on the body.

Jacco Fransen who lives and works in Hilversum, Netherlands, is a musician and proficient didgeridoo player and has been leading meditation workshops since many years.

Through this meditation balance can be restored on a mental level as well as on a physical level.

From 25-31 May 2013, Jacco will be leading daily meditation with the didgeridoo.

Autumn and Winter season

When autumn comes around and grey skies tend to make you blue, it's time for 'a taste of paradise' at Mas Kailash in the French Provence. Mas Kailash Yoga, Health and Art Centre is nestled in the middle of the gorgeous olive groves of Bargemon. With a maximum of 6 guests, the Centre is a small-scale haven of comfort and beauty with the focus on quality service and individual attention and care. We offer 'Yoga a la carte' which means you choose your date of arrival and the length of your stay.

Here, at Mas Kailash, you come to practice Yoga and Qigong outdoors all-year round. The departement  du Var is blessed with a micro climate where the sun shines generously all through the autumn and winter months.

To practice Yoga outdoors, in the midst of a spectacular nature, is a unique and magical experience of enhancing the senses and tune in to nature.

Yoga sessions start with deep, conscious breathing, relaxing the body and silencing the mind, enchanted by the sound of whispering leaves and singing birds. Gentle Qigong exercises help to warm up muscles and joints, stirring the energy throughout the body. This is followed by a complete series of yoga postures. Hatha Yoga uses asanas and conscious breathing with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility of body and mind.

The yoga sessions end with deep and conscious breathing and total relaxation-meditation.

Gentle and slow, Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced Yoga in the world. It stimulates the blood circulation, frees and moves the vital energy, strengthens bones, joints, tendons and muscles. Yoga develops awareness of our vital energy, encourages physical and mental balance, and stimulates harmony within and without.

At Mas Kailash we pay great attention to food and nutrition. We offer delicious homemade meals, from fresh, local, natural ingredients.  A wholesome breakfast is included in the package prices. In the evening we offer table d'hote by the fireplace on request. Bargemon and surrounding villages also offer a choice of excellent restaurants.

Mas Kailash also offers optional Art classes in intuitive painting and drawing. This method explores, develops and liberates your creativity in a surprising way. You learn to uncover and trust the creative flow which you have in you. This method is joyful and encourages to extend your limitations, to open your heart to a new level of consciousness of yourself and the others. To feel the joy and vitality which accompanies intuitive expression is ... a taste of the miraculous.
